So I have left a deposit and I get to pick this beauty up in a week!

Story goes, this is an estate sale, original owners daughter is the seller. Apparently her father had a friend who opened a pool hall and ordered an extra table for him with the lot. This was set up in this spot since the beginning and had 1 cloth change. Its 5x10, I think Gold Crown 1?? As well as cue rack and cues etc.

Its 3 hours from me and I paid full price :) Hopefully its as nice as it looks!

Let me know what you think.

Good thing they are including a set of snooker balls with that snooker table :sorry:

Did you know you put a deposit on a snooker table? Just curious.

Just to clarify, I totally knew this had snooker rails and pockets, I was shopping for a good used 10 footer, that down the road I could convert to billiards pockets.

I plan to use it for a while as is and convert it once the money builds back up.

I guess when I asked if it was a gold crown 1, I was more curious of the vintage.

I paid $600CAD for it all, while not every ones cup of tea I am happy about having the larger table.

Good price!

What will be the cost of converting it to a pool table?

RKC would be a good resource for that info. Although, he has been known recently not to respond to his PM's.

RKC will give him a number or a general idea of the cost im sure . RKC has helped me and i ahve called his personal cell a few times . ANyhow great table and once you get it swapped to a pocket billiard table it will be GREATTT. And for something this nice PLEASE have a good installer do the work not some jack-leg that puts valleys in corner bars and bowling alleys .

Congrats and good luck

Thanks very much. I was trying to get in touch with Mark Gregory, a couple of emails have failed, I would love to send them out to RKC I am not sure he would be too busy or not.

Until then, further research to see if anyone north of the border can do the work but I am not in a rush to mess it up!

Thank you for the positive comments and help!!

I just talked to Mark, call him (770) 548-4292

Can someone tell me if the long rails are two pieces or one 10 foot long piece. I can only assume 2 but I thought I read in my notes somewhere that if could potentially be 1.. I figure the aprons are 1 piece and that's okay, just curious about the other..

Nice score on that table! I have the same table, & had it converted to a pool table also. Mine is tangerine color though.

You have a nice table. Enjoy!

Mine are 2 piece, connected by the side pocket casting. My aprons are 1 piece.

Also, when I bought mine I took it apart myself & moved it. I was warned in advance that the slates were dowel pinned at the seams, which they were.
If you remove the slate screws & lift the slate it could break. I unscrewed both ends, then slid them on the frame without lifting, away from the center piece of slate. Then I unscrewed the center slate.

After that you can have your 4 buddies load them in the truck for you!

You might know all this, but I'm glad someone told me.

ProRailbird... thank you!! I would have not known that! I would love to see pics of yours? Gets me excited about the transformation, also I am glad they are two piece, easier to wrap in plastic for the move.

Keep in mind, if you're going to ship the rails to Mark, make sure you include the pocket castings as well.
