Looking for a Coach

I live in Alexandria, Louisiana (located in central Louisiana). I am one of the better players in town. There are approximately 5 players in town that I don't have to give weight.

My BCA handicap in 8 ball was normally a nine (ten is the highest). When I played in the Shreveport APA league, my handicap in 8 ball was a 7 (seven is the highest). I don't play in any leagues anymore.

I don't play 8 ball much anymore, I almost exclusively play 9 ball.

The most racks I have broke and run (run out from the one to the nine) in 9 ball is three. On a seven footer, I beat the ball in hand ghost (no combos, no nines on the snap, etc.).

From a reliable, respectable source, I have classified as a low end shortstop.

I really want to get better, but I can't seem to do it. I am looking for a coach who can help me.

Someone recommend Wade Crain. Does anyone know how to get in touch with him?

Can anyone recommend another coach? I am willing to travel within a six hour drive.

Sounds like you might be looking for an instructor, not a coach. A coach you are going to spend a LOT of time with. So it has to be someone right in your area. If you can afford very extended lessons, what are you playing pool for?

A good instructor most likely will get you 'over the hump'. He (or she) will be able to pinpoint any problems you are having, and give you several ways to overcome them.

This may be an issue of semantics. I want someone who can assist me in bringing my game up two balls. I would prefer to receive instruction/advice from someone who has had to win at pool to eat.

Give me a call. Send me a PM and I will give you my number.

You can drive down to New Orleans and I might be able to help. That's about a four hour drive.

Haven't seen Wade around in a while.

PM me to discuss any particular details.
