I'm looking for a pool team around Indy or the surrounding area who needs another player.

Go to the APA, BCAPL, VNEA, and (another one I can't think of) home pages. Each league offers a "League Finder" feature that is organized geographically, so that you can find one in your area.

Another resource would be to visit your local pool halls and talk to the owner, manager, who ever is in charge about league nights. Then, just show up and check them out.

I like the latter, because you can find something 'close to home'.
 
I emailed all the links for Valley, and have received 0 responses (that is from the league operators)
 
If you want to come up to the grim, ugly part of Indiana (Northwest Indiana) I've got a team for ya. It's quite a drive for you, but you'll get to breathe some really disgusting air from East Chicago, Hammond and Gary!
