I have one you can buy if you want. 9mm tip brass ferrule, Ash, Ebony hand spliced butt 180z. I do not play Snooker anymore as there is nowhere around here for me to play and I think playing pool with a snooker cue is not helping my game. Let me know.

A decent cue from Britain will be about $300US plus case, extensions and shipping and it won't be custom made. A British custom cue with case and extensions will be over $1,000US. You can get a custom cue from Mastercue in Thailand with case, extensions and shipping for about $450US and the quality is excellent (I have 2). You might not know what specifications to ask for if you don't have a lot of snooker experience, eg length, tip diameter, butt diameter, 1 piece or jointed, where to put the joint (3/4, high joint or middle), construction, ash or maple. etc. etc. If you want a decent snooker cue to experiment with try this ebay seller
http://stores.ebay.ca/master-cues The cues come from China but for the price ($100US with case, extensions and shipping) you can't beat it. The cue is quite good and has an air-lock joint which is quite an expensive joint. If you want to go the British route (there is Canadian maker, Kevin DeRoo, who is also very good) you can try Craftsman Cues, John Parris, Mike Woodridge, Stamford Cues to name a few. www.thesnookerforum.com is a good place for advice, a couple of the cuemakers post there quite often.

thanks. ive owned a few cheaper cues and now i want to get something a bit nicer. parris does some nice work but hes the only custom builder i know of.

i have a mastercue from thailand and it is a great cue for the money. another good value is mastercraft from england. they are a little bit more than mastercue, but great value for a custom.

a parris cue

John Parris seems to be the best maker - have a look on his website:
www.parris-cues.co.uk if you wanted to give him a call, you would probably have a few which are ready to ship as well. good luck!

hey, ive got a john parris ultimate (his highest grade custom) with a thuya burr splice and a single white veneer 9mm tip, 19 oz and 59" as far as i remember. looks stunning. also comes with a short extension + the telescope extension + a raggedy old leather case :) havent touched it for a few years but its straight as an arrow and i could have mr parris have it refinished and cleaned up for you. would have to ship from england though... let me know if that is of interest

any pics of it? what are you asking for it?

snooker cue

I picked up a really nice Tom Gauthier snooker cue with 2 shafts from a guy in western Canada. Gauthier made some beautiful snooker cues, maybe some of the best ever in North America. He has passed on, but he lived in western Canada, and they can be found from time to time out there. Wolf
