I'm going to Englishtown NJ July 14th 15th and 16th and was wondering if there are any nice poolhalls near that area?

If you want to take an hour drive up to Parsippany, NJ, Comet Billiards is one of the finest pool rooms in the state. You can get cheap action there no problem.

Christian is right. There is alot of cheap action up at Comet. PrimeTime is a nice room as well. In case it matters Comet dosent have a bar.
 
Waterfest 06 huh?

Primetime is a nice room right on route 9. Cue and brew on 34s is ok, nothing amazing.

Comet is the best pool hall I've ever walked into. I don't know about action, but it's nice.

Have not been there in YEARS but when I worked at The Ballroom Rt. 9 in Dover Township It was always a clean, well run room. Might be a little far from Englishtown but it was a full Gold Crown room and worth mentioning.

Paradise Billiards in Somerset is a good place.
Not too far from Englishtown, it's on Route 27.

Bring your own beer; light action available (9-ball, straight pool); good daytime crowd; nighttime's not so bad either. Not the easiest place to find (the good places never are). It's located in the back of a plaza called Hempstead.

Thanks to everyone for all the information. I'm looking to bang some around or play a few cheap sets. As it gets a little closer I bump this up again.

thanks everyone that posted but my plans changed and I won't be making it to NJ(Waterfest) this weekend. I was hoping to match up for some cheap sets with some people but maybe next year.
