I am hoping to get a real price value on a McDermott D-19
I ordered the one on the left back in 86
Couldn’t afford the high end cue I wanted so I changed it up a bit
Ordered with a stainless joint and 2 shafts 1 extended 2”

Then I liked it so much I ordered another without the dice and substituted Mother of Pearl inlays and in the points also
Also got it with a stainless joint
had Proficient do a refinish about 10years back but had them leave the original wrap
Was thinking of selling but don’t know what would be a proper price on it as it’s not in the books or similar to any other
Let me know what your thoughts are
Thanks

There's a Facebook group named McDermott Retired Cues that would probably be a good place to ask if you don't get an answer here. At least one member is a big McDermott collector and at least one person works at McDermott. Pretty sure a couple of them are on AZB too.

I'd guess value is probably about what a D-19 is. If memory serves, that would be $1200-1500 or so. If/when you go to sell, I'd just call them special order D-19s.

Thank you
I don’t have social media like facebook
Old school here
I miss out on a lot cause of it
But thank you for the info
Really like to sell it but guess I’ll just stick it back under the bed

You can sell them here most likely. Take more and better pictures and the specs. There is a format sticky on the for sale page.

Wow.

Seriously.

I dig the one on the right.

If I could get a est value I want to sell it
That's a tough one. I tend to avoid the value issue. Since you ordered it, it is a personal treasure. You really want to sell it? As a collectable, documentation helps. Signed letter from you, an evaluation from McDermott. Receipts for purchase and any work done on it. Condition means a lot too, and I see it has some finish issues.

It's not worth a helluva lot like a big name custom. McDermott fans will dig it. I do collect McDermott. I am mostly a bargain hunter, but not always. I'll even overpay for a cue I really want.

The finish is perfect on it. Was refinished by Proficient Billiards about five years ago and I’ve never been played.
I was gonna send it to McDermot, but they told me if they refinished it. They will put the composite joint back instead of leaving the stainless steel on there. I didn’t understand why but definitely wasn’t sending it back to them.
I only have the butt done, but you see the pictures are a reflection of the trees above where I took the picture and sunshine
Probably need to take a better pictures
No documentation, but it cost me about $100 more than my D 19 when I ordered it
I guess I just stick it back under the bed where it’s been for years

That's the only way they will refinish it most likely. For example, Predator won't refinish a P3 or any other cue that has a metal butt cap.

I was looking at the shaft, not the butt when I commented on the finish.

Sad McD won't leave a joint alone for a refinish.
