Looking for custom Cue

I have been playing steady for about 8 months and I am starting to looking at some up graded cues. My questions is...should I wait till the US Open comes to Chesapeake and see what the vendors have to offer. To be honest I have been looking at a Schon (STL 14) with a matching predator shaft.

Nice thing about buying at a show is that you can touch before you buy.

Nice thing about shopping on the internet is that you can keep your eye out for a nice price.

Triple ditto. lol There are a ton of really nice cues out there. IMO a no point Capone with rings is a great cue. I think Roy at IndyQ has some no point Capone cues in stock for less than $1000.
 
I would agree, there are a lot of cues in the 800-900.- price range. Schon is a nice cue but there is a lot of customs that you can have for the same price. And a cue made just for you is always more special then a cue a lot of others have. But this is just my thoughts on the matter, Schon is a very high quality product.
 
I for one WOULD buy a Schon anytime.

They have an established reputation for quality, excellence, and playability. I've loved the cues for a long time.

If you're looking for a cue to buy for investment purposes, you probably should go in the direction of another cuemaker.

If you're looking for a superb playing cue, you can never go wrong with a Schon.
