Looking for Drawings or specs

Hello,

I am hoping someone can direct me to a source for a set of drawings to build a pool table with. A little background, I bought a 30 year old brunswick Windsor model 7' table, it has seen its better days. The legs were made from mdf and it looks as if they got wet at some point in their life and have swollen. The frame is measly 3/4 plywood so strength and durability are an issue as well. i do not like the looks of the table either, basically i bought a set of slates. My background - I have been a carpenter for 30 + years, framing, trim, cabinetry, and built custom furniture. I know this would be a large undertaking and i would probably have to rely on the expertise of some of you forum members at some point, ie rails, angles, down angles, etc.

anyone know of a good starting point? thanks in advance for any input.

Mike

hey - if you build a table from scratch, let me know how it turns out, i'd love to see it.

there is (or at least there was) a lady in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, that ran a shop called Dixie Billiard Supply. believe or not, this woman made tables herself by hand. if she's still around, she might could give you some good advice..

good luck

check this thread and some other threads started by that user in regard with his project. It could be just great if you share your progress in the same fashion (making photos of your steps).

look at my jon bilt

I built this table from scratch, yes I know you can tell. the only problem
with building a table, it takes a lot of time and will cost more money than
buying a new table. best advice is to look around for a good used table.
I hope to down load some pictures. good luck, Johnqbs
