Looking for Duffrin House Cues

So I am assuming you guys know about the changes taking place with these cues? I heard through the grape vine about It some time ago, and wish I would have bought some of the ebony now as advised By my sales rep back then. I do not even see a listing for the ebony high runs anymore so guess they are already gone, and people are sitting on what's left. I did see some of the others, but only a handfull It looks like, the rest said backordered, and I don't expect them to get many, If any more of them.

That price seems fair to me, especially under the circumstances. I don't have a retail price for what they were for some reason, but guesing By the wholesale, I would say the retail was probably in the neighborhood of 55-60 bucks on the ebony, but that is just a guess.

Are you interested in any? My guy told me that he bought up the remaining stock of the canadian made dufferins. These are not the ones being made over seas.

Wish I could, I may If you can still get some later, but just got an order of cues, so low on cash. The only thing I use the dufferins for is they same as joey. I have plenty regular dufferin butts I get from Our buddies pool hall we take care of the cues for. He gives them to me. Most are with shafts broken, but I am just using the butts, and putting good shafts on them right now anyway. I don't have any ebony though, so If you can still get them, may want a few later. Does'nt look like I can get them wholesale anymore. By the way I heard on the vine that the valleys are the same situation, and they will both be made overseas.

Thanks
Greg

The new Valleys are crap. Too skinny and the maple top are shorter while the handle is longer. Useless for sneakies unless you want a joint around .810" and bottom around 1.150".

I'd like to make a few more of these.

Yeah I'm with you on that, I like to get them with some meat on them still also, so I have room to work with after getting through the finish. Especially on the used ones because you have to cut any nicks or dents out also, and get some good centers to work off of. Alot of the valleys are skinny, I have heard of in the past, before the change, people buying them oversized for building sneakies. Guess that's not an option anymore.

Nice work there Joey, very sweet looking cue. Is that the blank we're talking about here with the butterfly in them? I have been adding buttsleeves to the ones I started on also, It pulls the points closer, as well as gives me a thicker diameter at the joint. I love the ring work by the way very clean looking. You and Jon do some nice stuff with the brass rings, I did finally get some, but have not used them yet, waiting for some special looking billet to use It with. I have a gold plated joint pin to go with them also.

Are the ones in the group buy the Duf's w/ the butterflies?
There seems to be a bit of confusion here.

That's just lovely

Sorry, they were on ebay for 3 days in addition to the 5 or so days I was offering them here. I did everything in my power to sell them to ya'll but everyone just wanted to try to find them cheaper somewhere else so I let the inventory go.

SP's for sale

Hey Skippy,

According to the ebay link you posted no one bought any of the sticks. Are you saying that the gentleman you were going to buy them from sold them to someone else? Or are you assuming that they sold on ebay?

Not really looking for any, but thought that maybe you could still get a sale and Vonn could get his sticks.

I'd like to buy about 4 to 6 Duffrin one piece house cues. Prefferably the dark color.

I have 4 new Hi-Run one piece Dufferins (2 18oz., 2 19oz.) in a dark Rosewood butt. These are Canadian made. Offered for $45 each (plus your actual shipping costs).
