Looking for Ebony into BEM Cue

If anyone else likes this style I have this one. 60” and the white is natural material so that takes the OP out in this one
Dude!

You are killing me with that!

That even has a black pin!

And 60 inch! With two shafts!

Yeah, I am out on this one. I hope that changes at some point.

Thank you for dropping that one in here. It is great to see it.

I've been looking at alot of ebony lately. It's been nearly impossible to find any that is jet black with no streaks, light spots, or flecks. Taking a road trip tomorrow to check out another supplier but I have to wonder.... from what ive seen, I wonder if they stain or dye the ebony to make it blacker, or if I'm just late to the show and missing the good stuff? I do have a nice bit of bem though..
;);) could be a fun, no money down, no commitment thing for a new cue builder who isnt interested in taking orders and only wants a challenge (and an honest review of their work) provided a particular <someone> would be interested in providing such challenge to someone who has never built a cue before and would be willing to pay $600.00 if the cue meets their standards, work with them if it doesn't, or simply return it if it's "just hopeless"....
I'm pretty confident. No names given, suggested, or implied.

I just saw that cue in your for sale thread. The price did me in...and then I saw it was sold.

Beautiful cue, and I missed it. I should have asked what you wanted for it.

Me being stupid.

I am not sure what you are up to there. You are proposing to make me a cue? Ebony into BEM? Meets my standards?

Nothing down?

$600?

Go for it. Impress me. Do it with two shafts. If it meets my standards, I'll buy it.

One shaft.... I have a pretty good idea of what you want, but if you have any specifics let me know.
Out of the ebony/bem cues you posted, that Dufferin on the far right caught my eye.

I will add for clarity.

I would really be into a traditional 5/16 x 14 piloted joint at 0.840

Stainless is cool, imitation ivory is cool. I dig the way Sly does it. I will consider ivory but I am really careful about that.

If a Joss/Stroud/Scruggs shaft fits that's excellent. Plain black collar is excellent.

I do love dashed rings so I might be sold on that, especially if matched to the old Joss diamond catalog dashed rings.

Basically a plain jet black ebony into BEM. Full or half splice. If half splice, black wrap. I do dig an old school Delrin butt cap.

Definitely no kind of ring at the A joint.

There are variations I might like. Key thing is it must fit the collection I posted.

Now we're talking!! ;)
Apparently Leon was buying stock at where I just visited. I felt kinda dumb when they asked for pictures of the cues I was building... and had to tell them, I had not built one yet...

Think i lucked out on the BEM...
Hard to get a good picture of it though...
