Looking for feedback on the Jacoby edge hybrid shaft

I used predator shafts for a few years, then tried the Jacoby at the SBE a few years ago. Ordered one on the spot (I play with a Jacoby, cursed myself for not ordering the cue with that shaft in the first place). I decided to go with a middle-ground approach and had it tapered to 12.25mm. I can pick up a 314-2 and play with no adjustment necessary, but my Hybrid shaft just flat-out performs better and gives better feedback. Anything I get in the future will have an accompanying Jacoby shaft to go with it.

I recently switched from a Z-2 to a 314-2 and I'm playing much better. I think the main reason is that I prefer the larger diameter.

I have a Jacoby jump cue, and I'm impressed with it. I would be very interested in trying the Jacoby Edge Hybrid, but I don't want to buy a whole new cue. Can I get one with a Uni-loc joint? I don't see that as an option on the Jacoby website.

Maybe try Seyberts?

Try Ryan Theewan of RAT Cues/Meuller's. He custom made my Hybrid Edge from a blank, matched my ringwork, turned it down to 12mm and installed the tip I wanted. I'm sure building it with a Uniloc will be no problem.

I've played with Meucci original shafts for 25 years. Your muscle memory adjust to all the deflection and if you can master it, you get unbelievable movement. In the days when felt was much slower, it was ideal. Anyone who played or plays with an old Meucci original shaft knows what I mean. The old good shafts 25-30 years later never warp in heat or cold. I bought and played with a Predator P2 for a year with a Z2 shaft. My game couldn't adjust to the hit. I went back to my Meucci original shaft. When I was at the APA Nationals Brandon talked me into trying one of his Edge Hybrid shafts on my Meucci 84-6, the hit was amazing. Very similar to my shaft with a lot more control. I was stunned. I'm an APA "7" in 8-ball. I'm in my 50's. I thought my better days are behind me. I felt rejuvenated. I just bought a 10 year old Jacoby which will be sent back to Jacoby to make a matching Edge Hybrid shaft for it along with one to match my 84-6.

I got to shoot with one at Derby City at their booth for about 5 minutes. It felt really nice. I had a Meucci Pro shaft for a little while, but didn't like the feel and sold it. I really liked the Jacoby shaft, and I really like their company. But I'm, torn between the Hybrid shaft vs. an OB Classic + shaft. I definitely like a more solid feel, and the OB can be had for significantly cheaper, but I haven't played with it.

Played a few minutes with Little Joe's cue hitting straight in's with max spin and high speeds.
Very impressed. If I could get one with a wood pin I would probably by 1 or 2.
