Looking for hoodies or jackets

all the universe clothing stuff is awesome. very good quality stuff. i've got a couple polos and a couple tshirts. the track jacket they sell looks sharp too. they're sponsoring quite a few of the pros in the southeast (shannon daulton, shawn putnam, rodney morris, johnny archer, etc.)

They are probably the best quality line of clothes out there to be real honest for athletics as. mentioned on their website, the only problem is that it's just a logo, nothing really pool related, although they call it pool related.

What does Universe have to do with pool?

I like them don't get me wrong, they are nice I almost bought about $500 worth of clothing, just couldn't pull the trigger.

I guess they did some shirts for the Mosconi Cup, they look ok for a team to wear, but I think anyone who bought one of those to wear to their local pool hall would look like they just came from a circus troupe.

My point, they have a nice line of athletic clothes that they market as pool clothing, even though there is clearly nothing related to pool with their clothing, not even their logo, except the Mosconi Cup shirts and the fact that Johnny "The Scorpion" Archer promotes them, which is a plus for them.

Actually, he was looking for something pool related, and not cheesy, my logo is not cheesy and it's pool related. So, I said, send me a shirt and I will put my Logo on it for $20. Nothing wrong with that. He could just buy one of my shirts with the Logo on already, for the same $20.

Do you have a Logo, a company with a brand name? Are you going to give it away for free if you do? I don't think so.... if so, then you wont have one for long. Unless your giving away for a specific reason, such as marketing and then you only give away to those whom you think will better represent your brand.

Have you ever heard of people who license their logo/brand out to others to use? Such as the NFL or other huge brands? Mine may not be that big, but it's still a brand/logo, which believe it or not, people actually like.

So... don't make fun or poker fun at my offer as if it was ridiculous and out of line. Unless your just that kind of a guy?

Send me your cue case. I'll put my logo on it and send it back to you for $20.

If I was looking to buy and I liked your brand I would gladly do that sir!,

Might wanna check facebook. Some dude is selling your designs ;)

Lol, not my design.......... not even close. Thanks for the alert, glad your watching out for me! :)

It was the first thing that popped up when I opened the group. Someone even outed him for it.

I may not care for your products or most pool related apparel in general, but stealing designs or even trying to play off someone's business is a HUGE no-no in my book.

As a graphic designer I understand.

His design is like mine, in that it's a man bent over playing pool, and lots of people have designs similar.
It's ok with me as long as they are clearly not exactly copying or selling my design as their own, etc.
I guess I would have to be the judge and jury on that one.

Currently there is only 1 other person in the world who has my shirts to sell. They bought about 30 wholesale,
anyone else selling them would have to be copying them. I have all the original design files, no one else could
attain access to them.

What some people do not know is that as soon as your create something and especially if you post it, it's
copyrighted legally. That's not the same as Trademarked which is protected federally. But with copyright
infringement you can easily have things taken down by serving a DMCA Takedown Notice to the website
hosting provider of any website who is violating or hosting a design that is violating copyrights. If they do not,
then the hosting provider will turn off/shutdown their website completely.

Thanks for the help. I remember back in the day there was a clothing company that showed up at the expo every year. They embroidered nine or 8 ball racks on clothing that was really nice. I had a jacket but lost it a lot of years a go and have never been able to replace it with something I like.

Ride the 9. Linda Pault RT9designs. You can find them on Facebook. I don't know if she still has a website.

Mueller might still sell them.

Here's A Jacket I Acquired a Few Yrs Ago

Here's a jacket I spotted on The Forum a few years ago and I picked it up because it was a different........size (Mens L).
The jacket is used but in excellent condition (smoke free environment) and as I wrote, it has a distinct look & great embroidery.

I like your logo actually. Just not some of the sayings that are on a lot of them. I mean no offense. I just think there meant for a demographic that's not me :o

Yep. I agree and understand, the demographic is more of the gambling players and of course the whole brand is based on attitude, confident, not really cocky, at least not trying to be that way, but the original idea was t-shirts with attitude. Which so far has done well within a certain niche of players, as I develop designs I am sure that designs that some will appeal to some and not to others, that I knew from the beginning, I just had to start somewhere. I happened to start in the gambling niche.

Thanks for your input, maybe one day I will have a design that you like...

Debatable.....

I'll show ya cheesy if you want to see cheesy, I just don't want to hurt anyones feelings.

I am a graphic designer by trade, and I know cheesy when I see it. Of course just as beauty
is in the eye of the beholder, I am sure someone somewhere out there will not like my logo,
but that is rare, I have not heard 1 person out of hundreds even remotely mention or think it
was cheesy, as a matter of fact, they all say it's clean and simple, which is exactly what I
was going for when I designed the thing.

Some constructive criticism.

I'd like to see the "24/7" part dropped from the logo. In that font it looks very Nascar to me and takes away from the simplicity of the rest of the logo. Just the player with th Action underneath would be highly preferable to me. Also, I'd love to see your graphics in the front of the shirt and just your logo in the back, centered below the collar. Graphic t's these days are all about graphics on the front and very clean or unadorned backs. The breast logo front/large back logo is very 1980's/1990's.

If you had your "more rolls..." shirt done like that, I'd be 10x as likely to buy one.

Thanks for the input but that's the brand, Action 24/7 not Action by itself.

The Logo is as simple as it's going to get. Nascar is a great selling Logo, as
I am sure your well aware. They must be doing something right. They sell tons
of shirts at all their races.

I can do a shirt with the design in front and logo in back for you, want one?

Fair enough, just my thoughts.

I was about ready to take you up on your offer...then I got to thinking about it....nobody will get the pool reference if they don't play, but I'm a little heavier than I'd like to be right now...so it'll sound like I'm making fun of myself for bing a little chubby....hmmm....still like the logo though, not sure I want to highlight my own rolls....

I will say, I thought that one had a breast pocket front logo but I see I was wrong, the larger centered front logo isn't bad at all actually, I could work with that.

I like the overall style you're going for, the simple single color white graphics are clean. Would love to see a simple/clean take on the 8, 9, and 10 ball racks. Soemething almost engineerng drawing in style and simplicity. Rack shape, bunch of circles for balls with only a simple 8/9/10 logo on the center ball as appropriate. I was actually thinking about that design earlier today.

PM sent though, I'll take a different shirt off your hands.

I am sure I will get a design like that eventually, lots of people have bought that Bread Truck shirt, lots.

I even sold a 7XL recently, lots of 4 and 5XL also...

It's a good graphic! I'm only an XL, but I'd be happier as a M or a L! I'd prefer my rolls on the table and not under my shirt before I start highlighting them, haha!

I'll do a simple logo short now though, and if you ever get a rack design like I mentioned then I'm down!
