Not your side but..Ed Kiess is a great choice. He’s a very good player. Very observant instructor. A great choice for stroke mechanics and table play.(coaching).

Tom Kennedy (Six-Time Florida Pro of the Year/Past U.S. Open Champion) and I did another Pro Pool Clinic yesterday. We both live in Florida and you are about equidistant between us. I can provide references for myself and for TK (including our clinic students who loved their day with us yesterday) as instructors and coaches and either (or both) of us can visit with you in person for lessons.

Thanks for sharing that. this is all very interesting.
Now i know there are some instructors near me if I want to learn and possible identify bad habits learned over the past 20 years.
But what do all the different levels mean to the average person?

In general the higher the certification, the longer the person has been an instructor and the more experience he has. All PBIA instructors should be able to check and help you with your fundamentals including using video analysis.

I am looking to get some in person coaching from someone in the central Florida area. I played as an APA 7 many years ago before I took a long break and just feel like I have plateaued a bit and can't get over the hump to whatever my next level is.

Are there any instructors here that work in/around central Florida?

I'm currently in Gainesville, while my friend Tom Kennedy (six-time Florida Pro of the Year) is located near Sarasota. We are available to provide instruction to you as individuals or as a team.
