I will say that my table gets played quite a bit. I prob played 15 games last night, just by myself; and most days I play minimum of 3 games...

Also, I like Diamond tables for the fast cloth and tight pockets. I would like to re-cloth mine (again, lol) and replace the current facings with 1/4". I ordered a set of 1/4" facings last night...so we'll see how it goes...
Did you happen to see the word 'most'????? Most home tables hardly get used and that's a fact. Also, it doesn't have to be a D'mond to have fast cloth. Just don't go too fast on a 7', they play like a pinball machine. 860 would be fastest cloth to use.

Here ya go.. since I’m pretty sure your to lazy to go find it
Not really.

People are buying Diamond because they see it at their pool hall or on TV. If it was XYZ shit smelling table then I guarantee people will put it in their homes. We are all pool players here and we give into the crap they sell in our industry and myself included. It's just that I'm starting to realize it. LOL

Yeah I wouldn’t argue with any of that. I play on mine every day but from my experience even with other good players I’m the exception not the rule.

I really wasn't hoping this thread would turn into a debate about the quality of this table vs that, or how often a table is played on. I just wanted info on Artisan Designs tables.

For me, the price was right at $400, when I got it last year. At that time, I didn't know anything really about tables, and was not that great of a pool player. Since then, I have really grown to love the game, have become a much better player, have done some nice work on my table, have bought a few cues, and have not broken the bank in the process. I don't have the $ to buy a $5000 plus Diamond ProAm or whatever, but I do have the $ and skills / tools to upgrade my cloth to Simonis and tighten the pockets, which I might do.

Yep.

Sadly its the reality of pool players. Everyone is an expert and most are miserable. They are at a pool hall because they don't want to come home.

It's about home tables and these guys are bringing up their "home pool hall" tables. Go home people.

What do you mean "home pool hall" tables?? I have a Gold Crown and a Valley in my home. If I am at a pool hall its because I'm shooting in a tournament, I don't have tournaments at home. If I need to play on a Diamond I can go to my buddies house who has a Diamond bar box

People also have different tastes, to me tables with skinny rails and nothing but a piece of leather wrapped around pocket irons look cheap, I would much rather have an "ugly" Diamond.
I don’t like the skinny rails. While the tables look nice and are cool for a show piece. When it comes to playing I’d rather play on a bad Gandy Big G than a good “skinny rail” anything. But that’s just me-usually shooting off the rail getting out of the trap lol

Most are miserable sadly is an accurate statement. For what ever reason I’ve noticed this over the years in the pool world. I’m happy and will make sure that doesn’t change. Positivity is my rule.
