Hey all

I'm trying to find some folks that want to shoot on Sundays during the day. I go to Johnny C's but it usually empty and i'm just not a big fan of bars. So whats a good way to connect with other players?

Sorry, APA and such are out as they happen later in the evening during the week nad my alarm clock goes off at 3AM so.....

Thanks
Brian :)

I heard that they started up the Sunday Nine Ball tournaments at Top Hat again.
Call and check it out.

Top Hat Cue Club
8809 Satyr Hill Road, Parkville, MD 21234
(410) 665-1906

That is the only weekly Sunday tournament in the Baltimore suburbs I know of.

By the way, there is supposed to be a Nine Ball tournament tomorrow at Bank Shots Bar & Grill in Laurel. It is all bar tables, though, in case you don't like that. And the owners do not allow jumping or massé shots under any circumstances...so beware!

Bank Shot
3249 Laurel Fort Meade Road, Laurel, MD 20724

Thank You!

I'd heard Top Hat was doing the Sunday thing again ($25 entry, dbl elim) just not sure i'm in that class of players. Perhaps i'll stop by and watch it....

Hadn't heard of Bank Shot before, it's about 1 hour from my place.

Brian :)

Where in Baltimore County do you live? I have never heard of Johnny C's. Big Daddy's Billiards in Glen Burnie has an APA Masters League on Sundays. 410-760-1332 Great place to shoot pool.

I'm near Shawan rd and Rt 83

Johonny C's is behind The Corner Stable just off york Rd. in Cockeysville. Been there for at least 35 years. Johhny and Dan Janes (Joss Cues) are old friends and road players from the old days.

Where are you?

Brian :)

Top Hat on sundays. They have some real good players and some average ones too. Either way its the place to be.

Oh Okay. I used to live in Cockeysville about 20 years ago for a little while and shot at the Cockeysville Cue Club on York Road. Wasn't a fan of the element that hung out in that place back then. I wish I had known Johnny C's was there. I'm very familiar with The Corner Stable and have never noticed a pool hall. I live in Catonsville, grew up playing at The Blue Jay and VIP. Blue Jay closed up and I'm not a big fan of VIP, so I've been going to Big Daddy's when I get the chance because I like the atmosphere (reminds me of Blue Jay a bit). I'd love to shoot sometime, but I'm really just getting back into the game after a long hiatus, so patience would be required.

James :)
