I'm looking for a custom cue with budget not over $1000. I prefer the forearms made from cocobolo with veneers. I want it has at least 6 points. Also hoping to get a design with a spear ivory or raindrop ivory in each points or just a little ivory. So if any cuemakers who want to works with me please PM me. Or if anybody else has any suggestion let me know as well.
Thanks!
Ricky H
Unclear if you only want suggestions for cuemakers to make you a custom cue or if you're looking for something that already exists. In case you're looking, here' a very unique 8-point Kenny Murrel for consideration (not cocobolo, but a real nice rosewood forearm):
ROSEWOOD NOSE AND BUTT. 8 HOLLY POINTS, 4 SHORT BACKING POINTS, AND 4 TALL BRIDGED VENEER POINTS. LONG LINEN WRAP, AND 4 SPEAR INLAYS IN THE BUTT. PILOTED 5/16 14 STEEL JOINT, WITH BROWN PHENOLIC COLLARS AND SILVER TRIM RINGS. THE SHAFT HAS A PHENOLIC INSERT INSTEAD OF BRASS WHICH GIVES GREAT FEEL/FEEDBACK IN THE BACK HAND. CUE WEIGHS 18.5 OUNCES, AND COMES WITH A 12.6mm SHAFT WITH A GREAT PLAYERS TAPER.
We can discuss price if interested but I'm sure you could have Kenny make you an additional shaft or two and keep the cost under $1,000 total. This cue plays really well. (Not my pictures, I got this cue from Marcus)
Note: The buttsleeve originally had holly inlays but the original buyer wanted Kenny to extend the wrap, that's why you see portion of inlays at the end of the wrap.
