Looking for opinion on Az Money List

Not ONE person so far has brought up what I talked about, which proves my point.

Do you understand that some pros are being backed, and that the player is not keeping 100% of what he wins.

Do you understand that the cost of entry fees are not subtracted from the total winnings.

Do you understand that travel and lodging can often cost as much as you win in a tournament.

The raw number does not reflect anything significant. You can somewhat compare the numbers to see who has done better, but it does not reflect in any way the income of a player.

You have players traveling together and splitting everything they win 50/50, all sorts of arrangements.

This is not the PGA where the prize money outweighs all of the costs, and where everything is already paid for.

Just the fact that nobody else mentioned this tells me something.....

Maybe its just me but what does cost have to do with a money list? I never thought the purpose of the money list was to determine a players income. I always thought it was to show how each player was performing for that year on the tournament circuit.

I agree, tournament winnings only. That said, the Fatboy Challenge is one of the toughest to win and definitely should be included. Only sixteen of the best players in the world!

I disagree Jay. The money list IMO determines what pro had the best year overall. An invitational (i.e. Fatboy Challenge) is no different then an individual TAR match (also one of the toughest to win!). If all matches were open to any player (or at least any "pro") in the world, then I think they should be considered.

To me the money list shows two things: 1) who cashed the most frequiently in largest tournaments 2) who worked hardest and played in the most tournaments.

The money list was tarnished the year of the IPT when KT has the $100,000 exhibition match with Lori John and Mike. If we considered individual money matches, Dippy might even make the leader board. We don't want the leader of the money list to be bought. I don't think in the spirit of the money list this is fair to include.

This isn't about profit or loss margins. I'm sure some peoples expenses are a lot more than others by choice. Some stay in suites and take limos others sleep in cars and carpool. This money list, like similar lists in other sports, does not include expenses.

I don't think that the Fat Boy Challenge is an invitational it's open to the first 16 that put their money up that is different.
