Looking for pool hall info in New Orleans

I need to know if there are any nice, safe pool rooms around Marrero(sp) La.?
A friend of mine is going to be there for a week or so working and would like somewhere to hit balls. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

After Katrina can't be sure.

Off of west bank expressway there is a place called Honey's. You could cross the river to elmwood and play at a place called cue and cushion.

The ultimate place to play is on east bank at a place called the korner Pocket. It is in Kenner on williams avenue.

However, after Katrina I do not know if these places are operating.

Corner Pocket on Williams alive and well

The Corner Pocket on Williams is alive and well. They aren't open 24 right now but are open at ten every morning. I haven't noticed when they close.
