Looking for SMALL change

I was on kamui black soft for the longest time, then went down to the brown super softs.

Glazing was an issue, tho the gator grip did really help. Maybe it's just me, but I found that after kamui softs get to a certain level, they're hard, and they glaze and they make funny crack sounds.

I've been really enjoying the last few moori mediums I've been using. It harden's like every other tip, but I've just found it's been the most consistent performing throughout the multiple stages a tip goes through while aging.

And considering I break and play with it, and I think I have about 2.5 layers left, It surprises me how soft it still is. It's not a soft by any stretch, but compared with a kamui black soft at the same level of use, the moori still has a good bit of bounce to it.

I think fresh out of the box, a kamui black bites and players better. Moori medium feels a little less impressive in comparison cause I think it feels like a regular tip, while I'm sure kamui's grip more than the usual tip.

But once the break in period is over in a matter of days or weeks, I think a kamui's performance declines significantly until you're so frustrated that you are itching for the fresh out of the box feel again.

Whereas with the moori, sure it hardens a bit, but it's the first tip that I've had, that once it started getting lowish, I started really enjoying the hit, and hoping that it'll last forever. I love it so much, that I swear that it's shrinking just from me chalking it, and I'm trying to make the moment last as long as possible.

With the kamui, I was reshaping and hoping it would make it good again. With the moori, I avoid shaping because I want it to last.

Over 20 yrs ago I used moori's, but have been using ultraskins because a cuemaker uses them on all his custom cues, and I am unable to tell the different btwn the kamui black med softs and the ultraskin med soft.

Which moori have you been using.. and have you any experience/opinion on the ultraskins or the sniper tip that some people like on here?
