I've had real good luck with Leopardwood from Bell Forest Products.

Here's a cue I made with Leopardwood from Bell Forest.



I don't use Snakewood (too pricey and too unstable), but I've always gotten great wood from this guy...and he currently has some Snakewood.

Amazon Exotic Hardwoods

I just wanted to second Bill's recommendation of Amazon Exotic Hardwoods. He has lots of great wood. He has Thinwin which is particularly nice...similar to Wenge, and other extremely nice woods. Really nice guy too; I just had to give him a plug.
