Looking for some Irish linen.....

Greetings,

I am looking for some Irish linen....in a particular shade or color WITHOUT specs. I guess the best way to describe what color I'm looking for would be with a pic....

I am interested in having this cue refinished by fellow boardmember Manwon here in Lakewood, WA. After speaking with him about it, he advised that the original color of this wrap was white with green specs, and the color that it has become after all these years is as a result of discolorization from dirty hands, potato chips, and french fry grease :) Be that as it may, I think the present color of the wrap the way it is compliments the woods in the cue, I love the "petina" it adds to the overall appearance, and I would like to find a solid colored Irish linen wrap that's basically the same shade as the old wrap that's on it now. If I can locate some, this cue would be absolutely awesome looking with a fresh finish and an "old-looking and weathered" wrap that was really brand new.

Am I dreaming of something that doesn't exist or might there be somebody somewhere who would know where I might find some?

Thanks!!! in advance and I look forward to any input.

Actually if you peel that linen you will find it is a medium brown with white spec's. It's just dirty.

AFAIK - the color you want is not made at this time.
If 'Antique white' is still available, you MIGHT be able to dye it

Same with Med Brown w/white specs - maybe dye could work

IMHO you are in hot pursuit of a $400 wrap job

Edit:

If you are caring most about the color, you might have better luck
locating a piece of leather of just the right shade

Is this similar to what you are looking for?

Why not refinsh the cue and leave the old wrap on there??

I have already discussed this with Manwon........that was one of my thoughts initially also. In fact, I would prefer to leave the old wrap on as it is in good structural condition with absolutely no fraying or looseness to it what-so-ever. But he recommended that a new wrap be put on if it were to be refinished, hence my search for a solid colored linen.
