Looking for thoughts about 5 old unknown cue shafts?

If you're into gardening, save them for stakes. Of course you could always invest more by having a cuemaker or repair man plug and re-tap the threads, change deco rings, ferrules, tips, re-size, refinish, etc. Another idea is to have cue butts built for each shaft.

Lol, sounds like some of the things I might think of to have done to them (other then the gardening part).

Justin, here is some great advice.

Go to Home Despot, go to their tool section and buy the right tool for the job.

In fact, go to the area where they actually rent out their tools, maybe you can save some money.

See if they will loan it to you, have at least one shaft with you to try it.

You will need to put the Board Stretcher tool on Wood Straigtening mode, leave it for 20 minutes and see if it works.

They might even sell you a used one if you ask kindly.

You're welcome, Dave.

This is the only sure-fire way to straighten shafts. The very 1st tool rented by HD was the 'Board Stretcher Tool'. Dave, your gonna have more than a few cue repair guys on your ass for letting the cat out of the bag on this one! LOL
