Looking For Wood! Anyone have some quilted maple?

I am looking to get a good figured piece of quilted maple for a project of mine. It needs to be aprox 7" x 27" X 1/2" or thcker.

I was hoping with all the cuemakers on here, someone would know where I could get a good piece without spending too much.

It will actually be used to customize a guitar amp of mine.


Any info would be appreciated.

Just look up Luthiers products, I am sure you know there are some really great wood suppliers out there, for something not to expensive, try Bellforest products, they have alot of different figured maples!

very hard to find the highly figured stuff and when you do it is very expensive.

they sell the size you are looking for but they are usually 2" thick.
if you are buying 4A or better look to spend $400+ for the 7"x27"x2" boards.

if you do find one i might be interested in buying the other 1.5" you don't need.

Choice wood

Paul Dayton down here in Florida supplies wood to many cue makers. He may have some.
 
thanks to all for the replies. I am on the search. I just missed a good piece on ebay:frown:, but I will work it out.

If anyone has a board that they would like to part with let me know!

I could do a little bit under my original dimensions, but not too much, let me know what you have.
