Losing is the key to success!

I totally agree that you have to get in there with better players. In our area, I am one of the top women, but I am the ONLY woman who will consistently put up my dough to enter open tournaments week after week, month after month, since the early 90's, because I don't want to be one of the best women players, I want to be one of the best players!

I take my knocks, but I give out some too. I am now getting into the money quite a bit in the open regional tournaments. I learn, win or lose, from every match.

I have no problem losing, as long as I gave it MY best game. I only get angry with myself if I shot just plain crappy...and usually it was because I didn't keep my head down....stupid head!..Lol.

Seriously, I have no problem whatsoever entering matches where I KNOW there are better players than myself, and I will likely not place in the money. I love and NEED the challenge of pushing myself harder and harder. The more I have to push myself, generally, the better I play. My downfall is a game where I am bored. I love playing someone who makes me 'work' for the game....it is when I am the most happy....win or lose.
