Losing the dome

Maybe someone could shed some light on this, I seem to lose my dome on my tip with 2-3 days of play, constantly re dome-ing it....needless to say I go through a kamui tip in 3 months on avg. Anyone have an idea why this happens?

Youre hitting a lot of center ball shots, probably hard ones. If thats your style and it works for you, you might consider a harder tip that will hold its shape better.

Exactly. I went through a predator medium tip in close to that amount of time. Chuck's recommendation is spot on.

Hey thanks man.I am using a ss kamui which I like, but when I practice I tend to open my power stroke up....I first started playing on naps so I draw my rock a lot....maybe I'll switch to a medium:smile:

Same thing with me and I never knew why.
I learned to play on old nappy cloth and as a result I'm more of a power player then a finesse player.

I break with my playing cue quite a bit, and use soft tips, Kamui Soft and a Ki-Tech tip, I've never had a tip need to be reshaped much at all. That's some strange occurrences if people are getting a flat tip that fast.

The Ki-Tech tip, even with breaking with it has never even mushroomed much less lost it's roundness.

I had the exact same problem, switched to a Kamui Medium, problem solved.

You probably do soft breaks.
When a Kamui soft won't mushroom, you are not using your mussle.
Only softer tips has problems.
I guess ki tech is harder than kimui S
