Lost Cue, Found cue or Stolen Cue?

I have given some thought to the possibility that someone may have found the shaft and they are waiting until they see me because they don't want to trust leaving the shaft with someone at the bar, although I believe the bar owner and workers are as honest as they come.

I haven't been back but will try to go this weekend.

I'm working on designing a flyer to leave at the sports bar and may have a couple of them posted.

Thanks for all of the suggestions everyone. It is appreciated.

That may have taken place. I was packing up my things after league one night and there was and extra break cue and everyone from both teams had left. I did not want to leave it at the counter so I took it home with me (we were off the next two weeks for holiday) Then when we came back I asked everyone on my team and it wasn't theirs. It turned out to be one on the opposing team.

Bottom line I kept it safe to return to the rightful owner. Now had it not been anyone on the other team or mine. I would have turned it in.

I'm going back this week so I am hoping that someone might be holding it for me. There are a couple of flyers up now in the sports bar so we'll see how it turns out.

Speaking of stuff "walking away" and thieving SOBs, about a month ago, somebody stole my bag of pool "crap" that I've been dragging around for 20 years or more.

I had my "crap" in a black nylon bag that I picked up in a pool tournament in England back in 1990. The bag wasn't worth $5, but I had "crap" in it that I had for decades.

"Crap" = calipers, phone charger wire, mp3 headphones charger, powder, sand paper, glasses, tips, a file, tip tapper, butt bumpers, weight bolts, etc., etc. I used to work on people cues for free when I went to the pool hall.

Nothing in the bag was worth a ton of money, but it was MY "crap". I had it sitting on a table beside where I was playing and there were some guys playing next to me. One of them was so drunk, they had to hold him up and practically carry him out. Their "crap" was on the same table where my bag was. I think they walked out with it when they left and I didn't notice it until I looked for my bag to grab something out of it. I saw them the next week and they claimed they didn't see it, but I think they were BSing.

There is no way anybody could have picked up this bag mistakenly. It was a POS bag and heavy as hell. They must have taken it, thinking that my wallet or something of value was in it. Once they opened it, they probably were pissed and chunked it in the trash somewhere.

I thought about adding "No questions asked." but I genuinely hope and believe that some individual might have secured my shaft and will return it this Saturday night. This flyer is posted in the Sports Bar so maybe they will see it and then I can give them a reward WITH NO QUESTIONS ASKED or needed.

JoeyA

P.S. I would hate to have someone buy this DISTINCTIVE SHAFT thinking that they haven't bought a stolen shaft. I'm the only guy that makes these cues so they are very identifiable.

Nice! The flyer looks good and should grab some attention...i don't know if you saw my first post after I edited it but you may want to file a police report on the shaft just in case of the exact scenario you mentioned in your post script. Then you'd have a legal leg to stand on...just my .02

Hopefully someone just grabbed it and for safe keeping and they will return it tomorrow....

Thanks! Fingers crossed.

BREAKING NEWS: Kappy Sports Bar has cameras on the table where I left my cue shaft and they will be reviewing the recordings to determine who "found" my shaft. The person who "found" my shaft may return the shaft to Kappy's Sports Bar or to Eddie Brightman, who helps to run the weekly pool event. They may do so in person or may send someone else to return my cue shaft without being criminally charged and NO QUESTIONS WILL BE ASKED. This opportunity will be good until 11-23-16. After that date, if the cue shaft has not already been returned, I will file criminal charges against the person on the recording. I just want my cue shaft back and will appreciate and reward those who help me in getting it back. Thanks to everyone for your help.
