Sat night after work, my wife picked me up and we went to one of our favorite bars. Its a neighborhood bar, the people are friendly, 2 tables and karoke. There was a pool cue case laying on an empty table close to the table we were playing at. It had a native Dream Catcher attached to it. There was a native lady playing on the table next to ours and I thought it was her cue. She had left for a while and I thought she might be out having a smoke so I picked up the case and put it on her table.

My wife said that she thought the lady left. Well, I opened the case and in it was an old Dufferin, the ones with the aluminum joint. I said to Sheila, I have to turn this in to the bar and I did.

It just so happens that quite a few years ago, I had my house broken into and one of the things I lost was an old Dufferin with a cheap black vinyl box case just like this one. This was my firt cue when I started playing more seriously.

I said to Sheila today, wouldn't it be funny if that was my cue and Karma
brought it back to me.

Of course the cue is still at the bar and there are no identifying marks inside the case to prove it might have been mine, but it makes you wonder.

Hmmmmm ? maybe put a request to the manager that if the person who left it doesnt come for it in a few months maybe you could keep it.

Maybe she recognized you and left it. Karma, man............

Edit : Nevermind

(I need to take a speed typing class).

It is certainly nice of you to do this and try to make sure the owner can get their cue back. I did the same thing before at a neighborhood bar and Now I see the bar tender playing in some of the local leagues and guess what ?? He is playing with that cue. It was only a players cue but I think of me turning it in for the owner to get back about 6 years or so ago and the bar tender is playing with it:confused: ..And from the kind of person he is I would bet he never told the bar owner or anybody anyways. I could see if no one ever came in about the cue after a time,,but I know the character of this guy and I would bet he never tried to find the owner.. Hope it works out for you Terry and hey if it is your cue you shoul dhave a right to it...<< ED
