Just wanted to drop a line about my cue that was jacked at the Derby. For all you guys that were out there, maybe someone knows something and can help me out. The cue was very sentimental to me, and also plays great. It's an early model with the old school TS logo on the butt. The end of the butt is all black with one white band (the logo is in the band), the arm is of maple and has four ebony points (no veneers). It has a steel joint, and there are maple dashes adorning the joint on both ends. Also, it has a light grey irish linen wrap.

I've heard a few people had problems at DCC with thieves this year. Couple of rooms got broken into,etc...

Heard a rumour that Justin Bergman (or some other top young player) actually caught a pimp and his girl (as in real hooker and pimp, not talking slang here) coming out of his room. I don't know what they took but I heard Justin packed up and left and the weasels escaped.
 
rumor i heard about justin is that some girl heard he had 10 dimes in his room and she somhow got a room key( should be a lawsuit to hotel) anyway he walked in and there she was. then rumor has it that his life was threatened by pimp. if he told whow it was. just rumors so take it at that. i know justine and was told by another person that no money was in room. but i have not talked to justin yet about this. but if anyone tries to mess with him hes got alot of people who have his back.good kid. hes def. got the talent to be the best ever. and if u read this justin get back down to cape and play the "field" again. easest money i ever saw u win. lol
 
A friend of mine said that last yr he & his roommate were in their room when it sounded like someone was trying to get into their room. When he looked out the peep hole it was none other than a pimp (that was there this yr) trying to break into their room. :rolleyes:
 
Please dont make up stories on what u thought u heard

Justin is alive & well. Please don't make up stories on what 'you thought you heard' or what you got second or third hand. Kind of like that telephone game you played as a kid. Information is never the same from what was originally said. Rumors are bad. People repeating rumors is worse. If you state you are a friend of Justin's (as stunner316 does), then you should realize better. :mad: If you are a friend of Justin's than you would have his phone number & should have called him before you type rumors that are this serious of nature on the internet. I am a friend of Justin's, have his phone number & have permission to speak for him. Justin is a private person & would prefer to keep personal matters private and off the internet. The real reason he left the DCC is that his backer couldn't make it down til late Friday or early Saturday & he felt that it wasn't worth his time to hang around.

Justin is going out on 'the road' tomorrow. I won't say where. Give the kid a chance to just play his games. He will be back in St Louis in 2 weeks & ANYONE has an invite to come here & match up to play. If you are under the age of 17 and can prove it, he will play you even. If you are over the age of 17 and a champion, spot him, put the money on the light and see who gets to take it off after the set is over. If you are not a champion, he will probably play you even. If you are stunner316 or one of his friends, you can get the 3,5,7,9 again. He has a stakehorse who loves to gamble & matching up is no problem. :D
 
I don't understand the big deal about mentioning that you heard justin almost almost got robbed. If its not true, whats the big deal. Its not like anyone said anything about him personally. I wasn't there for the DCC but others who have been there have told a number of stories of people having trouble wth thieves over the years. My only point was people need to watch their stuff at DCC, perhaps more than other venues since there seems to be more than one story about stuff like this.

If Tiger products had read something about trailers getting stolen in Vegas, maybe they wouldn't have lost 100,000 bucks worth of stuff within a year or two of Joe Blackburn (Blackthorne? Can't remember his name but the guy who fixes cues on the pro tour) getting his whole rig jacked at the same place.

You just helped me to make my point even further. YOU WERENT EVEN THERE and you are talking about something that you heard about while you were 2000 miles away.

But gee thanks for letting people know that there possibly could be thieves around when there is a lot of money in people's pockets. I don't think you see many thieves hanging out where there is not opportunity. Here is another tip. Water is wet so bring a towel with you when you take a shower. If the cue repair guy in Vegas wasn't smart enough to know that their might be a high crime rate in a town of a lot of desperate people, I am sorry for his loss but #1. He should have had insurance. #2. He shouldn't have left his stuff sitting out in a trailer.

If there is a problem at the DCC that is something for Greg & his staff to give priority to or the DCC will come to a close as we all know it (well at least those of us that have attended).

It was Joe Blackburn, and it was actually just a few months apart. IMO the Riviera should've provided better sercurity since it was in their parking garage and both Joe & Tiger products were paying customers. (They should've really been paying closer attention by the time the Tiger trailer was stolen because Joe's happend first.
 
Christ, didn't mean to get your panties in a bunch, watchez. Four of my friends went for a week so I thought the info was right. I qualified my comment to let people know I wasn't positive about it.

Water is wet,huh...you're a funny guy. Nothing I said had anything to do with you so why don't you just relax or STFU,your choice. You're acting like people are talking about rumours of Justin being a bad guy or something, when we're only talking about people needing to be extra careful around the DCC because there is a history of problems.

I'm sure Justin can take care of himself without needing his "friends" freaking out anytime someone mentions his name on the internet.

Bud, the best thing to do is ignore him. I usually ignore him but I know for a fact that you're a nice guy, you certainly didn't deserve to be talked to the way he did, and I knew that you would say something in return. I'm only saying the following because you're a nice guy & I wanted to point these things out to you.

He never has anything nice to say, most of his posts are instigative in nature, and he's quite the self righteous one. If you do a seach on him, you'll see that he spends more time trying to instigate an argument with snide comments than he does anything else.

Dig further and you'll see just how "mature" he really is. Back when he was riding teacherman's coattails around the forum, he really made an a$$ out of himself. Which by the way, I noticed on another board this morning that someone is saying that teacherman was actually splinterhands and the bamboozler.... that wouldn't surprise me. All of those screen names along with watchez are just peas in a pod. :cool:
 
Insurance won't cover the rare cues or handcrafted cue-repair tools Joe had. He makes his living with the stuff they took. You expect him to bring his lathes up to his room with him, or something?

The day you stop being rude and condescending will be the day that I apologize to you. You're never nice or pleasant. Bud Green is very nice and didn't deserve to be talked to the way that you talked to him. I've had personal dealings with Bud and consider him a friend, so yes, I put my .02 into this. You're right, I could've pointed these things out in private, but why should I? You were rude to him in public and everything I've said about you is public knowledge because of how you conduct yourself in public. Aside from what you've posted on this thread, all someone has to do is a search of your posts to figure out what I've already said about you.

It looks as if you've finally made a good bet. No, I'm not going to call. Why should I, what purpose would that serve? I told you before the DCC that I have no desire to meet you or take you up on your beer offer, why would I now want to talk to you on the phone? People are who they are.... You've posted more than enough to show me what kind of person you are, which happens to be someone that I don't care to meet or call.

This is getting silly and it wasn't my thread to begin with (like shag fu said) so this is my last post on this thread.

I hope the cue shows up- I've had a couple cues stolen and its a pretty crappy feeling.
