Love the Palmer Collector - Meucci?

Love the Palmer collector site. I have picked up some information and enjoyed viewing.

I would love to see a Meucci site as well. I have probably about $20 K in 13 cues in my collection. (yes one of them is a meucci) as well as most of the top cuemakers.

I know of a collector in Atlanta, (no names from me). I have heard of a fabled "Road Runner" cue, and Dick Abbott at Billiard Cue had a Minnesota Fats one that is pretty neat too.

I mentioned this once to Bob Meucci, or possibly a book with good index, and he said "Now how could I make any money from that?" Obviously, Bob missed my point. The Palmer site is, as I see it, an appreciation of Palmers (yes I have a Palmer).

The Blue book is pretty bare bones for my taste, and the Palmer site seems to do a good job.

I have Schicks, Tad, Gina, Rambow, Gilbert, Hagan, on and on. Bought and sold probably over 200 cues. Made the most money and profit fastest on Meucci cues. Giggle all you want. I can turn them very fast.

Any one else?

Ken,

Thanks - I enjoyed doing the Palmer Collector site. I really appreciate the kind remarks. I plan on adding to it as I have time, so please do check back.

They can laugh all they want at Meucci's but I bet there are more Meucci collectors in the world than there are any other brand. I have some originals, an old Road Agent, a Gambler, a Hook that's like new, some DH and Rempe's. I have an Earl Strickland Meucci - you don't see them much. I kept the very oldest and best of the Meucci famous designs for long-term investment and interest.

Really, there should be a collector site for all collectible lines. Meucci devotes almost none of their bandwidth to the collector. That, in my opinion, is shortsighted and fails a crutial segment of their support group that makes up their customer base.

I think Schon does a much better than average job at helping collectors and posting photos of their older cues. I would really like to do a Schon site if i can collect enough materials and examples. I collect older Schons (their are too many newer desgns to even try!) and they are really top notch playing cues too. It is amazing how consistent schons are even over a 15 - 20 year span.
