Low deflection cue. Maybe OB1,OB2, or Predator?

I've been playing pool since summer of 2001. I have bought most on ebay. Offline I bought one or two cheap new cues (big mistake). Anyway, I currently play with an old Mali (really like it, but think I need a better cue), so I would really like to upgrade. I am considering the OB-2 or the Predator for good hit, low deflection, etc I also like that the OB-2 is a available in a smaller tip diameter (11.75mm). In 7 years I've gone through cues by Brunswick, Mcdermott, Jerry Olivier (won - beautiful), Stealth, Cuetec. But all in all they have been cheap cues (except for Olivier cue), and I really would like to upgrade. So your input would be appreciated. Also finances are tight so I prefer getting a quality cue that is not new to cut down on cost. Major factor is LOW Deflection.

Thanks,

Mike Webb makes an awesome LD shaft for his cues. And the hit is true...

My recommendation is to just take the plunge with either, try it. Because if you are unhappy you can EASILY resell any OB or Predator products. It's not a high risk proposition.

OB2 if you want more of a flixable cue shaft or predator 314/2 z2 if you want a stiffer cue shaft. Both are great choices and worth the money. I have a predator 314/2 and I love it. Both the ob and 314's have pro taper. The Z2 has a strong taper. On platinum billiards they have a deflection chart. Punch it in on google. Hope this helps :)

No sign of the OB2 on that chart yet.

Look into Mezz cues. They're similar to Predator Cues, cheaper, and according to a lot of people who have used both, better quality. They also have the low deflection shafts.

I bought the Mezz Z405 about a month ago and I really like it.

What about Tiger X shafts? A bit cheaper than both OB and Predators but I read a lot of good stuff about it. I just don't know how it hits compared to OBs and Preds (OB apparently soft hit while predators are stiffer hit.)
