Just put an order for 2. Do I need to clean the shaft before applying the wax? Or the wax itself will clean the shaft? Can you pm me the answer Lee?

Wipe the shaft with a clean rag first to get rid of any loose particles. Then follow the directions on the jar.

I dont suggest "lighly sanding" your shaft at anytime.

Use a little Windex on a clean cloth and wipe vigorously.

The wax will clean it a little also.
