Ive been looking online and have not been able to find the info im looking for. I just need to know if the ferrules are capped and if the shaft is solid and not hollwed at the tip.

Thanks
Dustin

the shaft is not hollow....it uses a 5/16 XTC thru ferrule. it is very similar to the universal smartshaft LS, but the dimensions of the tenon/ferrule are a little different. the low deflection performance comes from the tenon....it has a very thin maple tenon about 3/16" and then a sleeve of some lightweight wood over that (i think it is basswood), to make the final wood tenon 5/16". i believe lucasi has some cross sections of the shaft in some of their marketing materials that show the design
