Hello all

I am looking at Lucasi pro line and defined model is

Lucasi Pro OD Series - Ebony No Wrap Cue

I like the pure ebony look throughout but there are questions I tried emailing cues and case with no answers yet.

The forearms are the same for other variations of wood. The different wood is the butt wrapping parts. For ebony, it states ebony.

My questions are

1/ exotic woods. Is it authentic Ebony forearm with sleeved technology for all models ?

2/ 4 piece constructions. Is it the same or similar to Predator C4+ ?

Thank you

These questions are best suited for the dealer / shop you plan to buy from as they should know their product line inside and out. You are going to try the hit of the cue first before you buy it (local shop) or at least get it from an online with a good return policy (seyberts.com), right?

Personally, I would never buy a uniloc pin cue (too few of actual thread bite) and don't like radial pins either for the same reason, which is why my whole bag is setup for 3/8 x 10 pins.

I have a uniloc, radial and 3/8x10 cue and they all work just fine.
As long as the pin holds the shaft tight to the butt there is no difference with any pin.
Just old wives tales.

I've played with quick release / uniloc cues before and have experienced the joint loosening while shooting, and I don't like the long travel of the shaft mating with the pin until the threads engage on radials and uniloc...

I just have a thin foam insert into the bottom of the join and it stay fixed. No buzz or losening of joins problems. I asked Seybert . The answers were that all black parts are Ebony. If it is true then this one is one amazing value. I just placed the order. Hopefully the answers were not just assumptions

Let us know how you like it when you get it, and maybe again after playing with it for a while.

My uni lock predator never comes loose. I prefer the quick put together and break down in tournaments. I could tell a single difference in hit but everyone is different I guess

I have never had my uniloc joint get loose.
I do clean the threads and shaft insert with a Q tip and alcohol once or twice a year.

Clean the threads and insert, uniloc fits so precise that a little gunk will make it stick.
Yes, I did put wd40 into it. The only uniloc that dont ever stick is the P3

The cue arrived. I think the forearm is of Black Painted Maple as there is no wood grain showing through.

The inlay is Ebony with visible grains and so is the wrapless handle.

I think all cues from this line will have that painted hard maple forearm and the wrap can be in different wood species sleeved on in. I think itnis somewhat similar to truewood from cuetec but is of better wood quality. The ebony is almost completely black as opposing to Cuetec which has brown and yellowish streaks to it, making it almost a hard walnut instead

I like the way this butt hit but the P3 is more solid...though less feedback. This Lucasi has amazing feedback while both the P3 and Lucasi are paired with either rhino or black v4 shaft

The weight balances is similar with P3 a bit more forward and Lucasi a bit further back. The feedback though is amazing

So, what I like is the wrapless that shows the Ebony grains, and that allows me to grip the cue at any parts without feeling the transitional area where the wraps are. The P3 has a lot shorter wraps than SP2 or Lucasi anyways. Therefore, wrapless P3 look weird and wrapped one just feel odd from times to times. I originally liked the solid feel from the P3 but I think it muzzles the feedback a lot, especially with any carbon shaft

Yup. I've never had issues with uniloc going together, staying together, or coming apart.
When I clean mine (q-tip and iso), I also take a bit of wax to the threads and pin just to help it out a bit. I just use a stick I made from some bike chain wax. Enough to keep the joint nice and smooth.

Nice looking cue, and even better you like how it feels and how the hit feels using it.
Good luck with it!
