My boy has picked out a lucasi model L2007 for his one year anniversary in the U.S. Navy. I have heard some not so good things about lucasi's but also some not so bad things. To me it seems like a pretty decent stick for not so much money. I need to order this stick asap because we are going to play in 1.5 weeks, but if it is a p.o.s. I need to tell him, maybe he needs to pick something else. Has anyone heard anything about Lucasi?

I played with a Lucasi for about three years before upgrading to a Predator. I'm not an expert, but the Lucasi hit just fine for me and still does.

I love my Lucasi.

I've been playing with a lucasi since Buddy was endorsing them and asked me to try a few shots I was hooked and found a $175 New Lucasi on Ebay. I got it for $89. It plays and hits as well as any cue I've played with.

If I remember correctly, that is the same model that Hemicudas plays with and he loves it.

I have a Lucasi with a Z shaft and love it. The best deal I could find for such a nice looking cue. Some say the inlays may not be real, but I don't plan on smashing my cue open any time soon, so who cares? I also haven't had any of the linen wrap problems that others have mentioned. :)

I've been playing with a Lucasi for 4 years now. It's a great "playing" cue for the money. I have never had any problems with it. The only negatives I have seen is that the cue might not be real inlays and will almost never go up in value. For me, it serves its purpose on the table. I recently bought a predator 314 shaft for it and still love it.

Pretty good cues ...

For the money and for a starter cue, they are pretty good. Heck, my brother had more expensive cues, but bought a $220 Lucasi and still
shoots with it. For hit, feel, and balance, they are not bad. And they have some curb appeal, even if the inlays might not be all real. I call them
'The Poor Man's Schon'.

It is on sale for the l-2007 for $203.99 (reg 254.99) at Beads and Billiards, and they have free shipping. It is a nice looking cue, BTW. Also, a freebie for either a hard case, Qclaw holder, Chalk holder, or *****ster tip tool when you buy the cue. B&B is in Washington state.

I have a best of line Lucasi . Not bad. A little stiff hitting
for me. LOL.

I have bought 4 Lucasi cues off ebay the highest is $167. I was in a hurry on that one because my wife's car got stolen with cues and case! I bought the LE-46 with the flames and a extra Predator 314 for $225. I set that cue up for breaking and I took the 314 for my LE-75!! I love the hit and the Uni-Loc joint, I can switch shafts beetween her cues and mine and they hit Perfect!! I think thats a HUGE selling point that no one talks about being able to switch out shafts like that.

I bought two for my sons. Both had the wraps coated with something-or-other, and on both the wraps have loosened and/or unraveled to the point where the cues are not useable. I think some of their cues don't have coated wraps, and they may be OK.

I bought a Lucasi LE9 back in October for $140, I like it but on occasion the tip irritates me. I have slowly been working on the tip shape but haven't got it to where I want it yet (I may have the tip replaced soon). For $140 I don't worry about it getting stolen or damaged, several of my pool mates have used it and say it is has a sweet feel. It's 19.5 in weight and does have nice feel to it. Just have to solve my tip issue.

For the price it ain't bad.

lucasi

tyvm everybody, I was hoping to get some positive feedback.
snapshot, I ordered it from seyberts.com. They had the same price plus a $25coupon, and they can put the moori tip we wanted and slim down the shaft a bit. I don't know, I might have to let him win a couple games this time.

Lucasi

I've had mine for a few months, and really like the hit more each time I play with it. Usually I fall out of love with cues....this one is the other way around. I feel its the new shaft design. My only complaint is they don't sell a spare shaft for this model YET!!!

sorry for the crappy picture...
