Lucasi Uni-Loc Joint?

I want to get a new Lucasi LE66 Pool Cue but I am not so sure about the uni-loc that comes with this cue. I would like to get some opinions from people who have had them and what their experience was. I currently play with a Pechauer Custom Cue and love their quick release joint but I am not sure if I could put one on this cue.

Quick release anything is a compromise. It's a straight physics thing. For speed you give up contact area and thus strength and possibly long life because of less wear resistance.

Notice how most big dollar cues come with BIG pins.

My custom has a uni loc pin. It has been my player for over 15 years. I have never in that time experienced any wear or strength issues. That said I was able to hit with a few Lucasi cues at the Expo. I did not like the feed back I got from their hybrid cue (lht88), but I did like how the cocobolo felt. Both cues had uni loc joints.

I've never had a problem with the uni-loc joint. Used a lucasi for a few years, now shoot with predator shafts and uni-loc joints. We can only hope to get so good that the joint actually hinders our performance, but until then, for myself, it works and feels fine. Don't let the joint stop you from getting the cue.

I personally hate Uniloc joints, but that's just me. If Predator sponsored me and said I had to play with their cues, I would not all of a sudden miss every ball.

If the OP likes the cue, buy it. I'm snobby when it comes to cues, because I like my customs, but don't let that deter you from getting a cue you like.

I have uniloc joints on all my playing cues, 1 Lucasi (LEX30) and two SP predators. I have 5 uniloc shafts that are all interchangeable and have never had any issues with the joint. I have other cues with other joint systems and I cannot tell the difference.
