I 100% believe in manifestation. I've seen it far too often in my life. Your attitude, intent, desire, and vision impacts all areas of your life to include pool. If someone saw where I came from and where I am now they would also say I'm "lucky", and I would not argue with them.
That saying and those that use it comes from a position of skill.Wasn't it Gary Player that said "the more I practice the luckier I get". There might be some truth in it...
It's funny, I've never won anything like that either. When I do get a wild hair and buy raffle or some other tics, I go into it knowing it's a donation to the cause.I've never won a raffle of any kind in my life. I see people clean up - pool cues, golf clubs, guns, trips. It's a foreign concept to me.
I've always believed in intention.I 100% believe in manifestation. I've seen it far too often in my life. Your attitude, intent, desire, and vision impacts all areas of your life to include pool. If someone saw where I came from and where I am now they would also say I'm "lucky", and I would not argue with them.
That I believe.I call it C player safe.
If a player benefits from an outcome that wasn't intended or controlled by said player then that is complete luck & by no means skill.

If a player has made certain shots over the course of their playing time that when noted lead to better outcomes when missed...I call it C player safe.

She ever find out you were the one putting bugs in there??I never considered myself lucky but many others did. We all have luck, good and bad. We can focus on the good luck or we can focus on the bad luck. Some are convinced they have the bad luck from hell! Over time it becomes true.
My grandmother always patronized church events. She bought food at the outdoor events but told us to check our sandwiches, she always got bugs in hers. She had bought six or eight sandwiches for the family and we grabbed at random. As everyone has guessed by now, everyone's was fine except Gramma's, it had a huge caterpillar in it. She was so used to it she just flicked it off and kept eating.
I have participated in hundreds of raffles. After half a lifetime I finally won something of small value, less than a hundred dollars. I knew someone that had won two new pick-up trucks about six or eight years apart. Wouldn't surprise me if we bumped into each other and I learned he had won one or two more.
Some people the gods smile on, some they laugh at!

Gospel bro.Wasn't it Gary Player that said "the more I practice the luckier I get". There might be some truth in it...
I never would dream of it! Grandma was a saint and the matriarch of a huge italian family. She got respect from all that knew her. Didn't take long to know her sometimes either! She ever find out you were the one putting bugs in there??![]()
Amen brother!! Sounds exactly like my Aunt Mary.I never would dream of it! Grandma was a saint and the matriarch of a huge italian family. She got respect from all that knew her. Didn't take long to know her sometimes either!
Aside from anything else, she was tight with the man upstairs. We are talking about what can't quite be explained in this thread, I have seen her do the impossible or at least highly improbable after a short prayer dozens of times. I think she prayed to about forty-three different saints and they all listened!

I have a whole bunch of flaws I'm trying to give away if anybody wants a few.uncontrolled results are mostly some random amount.
you can call that good luck or bad luck and happens in everything.
its entropy, the 2nd law of thermodynamics applied loosely.
and so called luck is just that and is not weighted some way. it doesnt apply to a person just random chances.
luck cannot happen going forward just looking back.
few will believe that as it seems to be a built in flaw for most people.
