The more I practice, the luckier I get.I truly believe “luck” plays less of a role than we might be inclined to admit.
Control of the cueball is job one. Potting the object ball comes next. Doing both becomes like walking and chewing gum.

Wow!!! I've seen2s and 3s, but nothing like that!!Our game was 1 before the 5 and 2 before the nine to get the respot. Rick Hodge had the record for most money balls in a rack with something like 2 or 3 fives and 4 nines with a 5th nine barely missed.![]()
Thank you kind sir!! You guys on AZ are a wealth of info!!While training the knowledge into the strong hand you have probably trained some of the feel out. The weak hand is shy on knowledge since you use it much less but it may have greater feel than the strong hand if you turn it loose.
I was off one day, couldn't make a ball in a five gallon bucket. The money ball was almost straight in on a nine foot Diamond. It was also an almost perfect four rail bank to the same pocket. I called the four railer and split the pocket. I never doubted the money ball was headed home.
An outfielder has to make many complex calculations to run up a wall and catch a ball. The ball is on a constantly changing arc moving at a constantly slowing speed. I doubt that a supercomputer could calculate things at the same speed as an outfielder's mind. The conscious mind would still be putting together the equation when the ball is already in the player's mitt, courtesy of an uninterrupted coordination between the unconscious and the body.

Could be a mod hinting you are full of caca! More likely the overstrike button got selected, the S with a bar through it. Sometimes you have to click on the three dots to open the menu to see the overstrike button. Sneaky of the software guys!

Says Ctrl + S in the editor. (first set of 3 vertical dots)
I haven't been able to multi task since I started playing again. I'd prolly bust my ass if I tried walking while chewing gum.The more I practice, the luckier I get.Is a favorite comment.

I try to give myself the largest target for the cueball resting spot and at least stay on the right er uh proper side of the shot to give a natural angle to position to the next.Just for contrast, luck to the elite can mean a few millimeters in the layout. A dead pattern could be undetectably out of spec even to the player. This could result in head scratching stymies or jaw dropping smooth sailing.
Is it luck if you can't tell?
God loves ya man.... there it is.I've come to the realization that for me, in my game, I get the rolls. It happens far too often for it to be luck.
Yes but imagine that dead out you're on. You can get out opposite hand blindfolded. Over the next 3 or 4 shots that silly millimeter off compounds and you land ok, still in line but, imperceptibly in danger. This shot lies just where the speed lines up with a habitual glitch in your stroke. Now you have a mismatch in power curves and thanks to a couple cushions, get irretrievably outta line.I try to give myself the largest target for the cueball resting spot and at least stay on the right er uh proper side of the shot to give a natural angle to position to the next.
Landing the wrong side can leave a shot that requires special sauce on the cueball. Not that I can't apply it, it's just that I prefer Vanilla to Rocky Road.
Ah Hell, just kick it in.get irretrievably outta line.
Yeah but is that luck?Ah Hell, just kick it in.
Practice of all shots pays dividends.
Okay a flashback. rerun for sure.
After work with my carpenters crew that I had bragged of my pool skills with. I had broke and run to the 8 and accidentally hooked myself. The crew was laughing and telling our superintendent, "Well at least you will get a shot."
Uh No! I had to prove I wasn't full of sh*t. So called it and kicked it in.He bought the next round.
I appreciate that my man.God loves ya man.... there it is.

Stay off that shot line.I try to give myself the largest target for the cueball resting spot and at least stay on the right er uh proper side of the shot to give a natural angle to position to the next.
