At one point I would have agreed with you on the fact that one pocket has as many rolls as 9 ball. That point in time was ended by watching Cliff Joyner play the game. Everything was calculated, including what to the uneducated eye would appear to be "accidental". He plays shots with a complete knowledge and understanding of what will happen should it not go that way he would "LIKE" for it to happen. Its called playing the shot 2 ways. He is not alone in this. All the top one hole players have that same ability, Efren, Shannon etc etc etc.
As much as I love 9 ball, I would definately say that it is the "luckier" game.
