Lucky Loser Sighted Ferrule Aiming System

My first pool publication. Please enjoy, and at the YouTube site like, subscribe, and share. I expect to have more articles published until the complete Lucky Loser Composite Aiming System is shared. Thanks everyone.
Lucky Loser Sighted Ferrule Aiming System
I made something like that when I was like 14. I also marked the orantation of the shaft grain. When you mark the ferrule you notice how much you twist your wrist. I was always experimenting with stuff. Once made a tip from a super ball. I don't know if super balls even exist anymore.

Edit
I want to come back and make a comment about what I had said. When I said I did this when I was 14 I wasn't meaning to make fun of the idea. I was 14 over 60 years ago and I was already a pretty good player.
I was just making a point that this isn't a new idea.

basically what Shane does ( better said, what Shane said himself when interviewed by Jenniver Baretta).

Why not just aim at the fraction spot?

There will be later articles entitled "Lucky Loser Composite Aiming System" and "Lucky Loser Advanced Synthesis" These incorporate other methods with new innovative methods into a single easy to access system with training options for the same shot to meet the preferred learning modality of the student. So, to answer your question: Sighted Ferrule Aiming allows you to actually aim as a contact point giving better resolution along the equator of an OB. Ball fraction is not as analog, but does offer great consistency at discrete points. Of the different systems some sweet spot points overlap, and some do not. Keep your eyes open for the later articles and videos from PoolDawg Academy.

Also, you will be seeing relevant and unique incorporated training devices being available: strips, devices. etc...

thank

I don't know that I buy into the fact that your system offers any real benefits over HAMB (yes I heard the arguments and am not yet convinced) but I do have a couple of suggestions none the less. "Lucky" and "loser" are probably the two worst possible words you could ever use for inspiring any confidence in a system. You couldn't possibly have picked a worse name, literally, and I would suggest changing it asap before it is too late (even if there is some background "good" reasoning for choosing that name like it being your nickname or whatever). Also, it would probably help people want to give it a look and a chance if you mention in your post that you are a PBIA certified instructor.

For what its worth, I had just the opposite reaction. Name to me connotes self-deprecating sense of humor and “PBIA certified” - doesn’t do anything for me, actually the opposite (much like PSIA ski & PADI dive instructor certs are more of a snicker factor to some who grew up in these activities outside of the larger industry orgs). No disrespect intended & to each their own, obviously - just providing alternative feedback for the OP.

Good luck OP - your take on aiming systems sounds somewhat refreshing, and it sounds like you’re well aware of the shyte many around here will throw at you.

✌️

The actual name is romaji is "Koun na Makinu". It has a different meaning in Japan than maybe you are taking. Also, in the West a Lucky Loser is a sports competitor (player or team) who loses a match in a double or more elimination or loses in qualifying, but who then enters the main draw, usually when another competitor withdraws during the tournament because of illness, injury, or other reasons, and usually goes on to win the tournament. Thanks.
