Not to many Maddens for sale on this site just wondering why, would like some opinions on his cues thanks.

I sold my entire cue collection, over 50 cues. I kept 2, a Barnhart and a Madden. Brian.

Sometimes AZB members are smarter than they let on. I have only played with one Madden cue, but it was great. Quality hit way beyond its price point. If I owned one, I wouldn't sell it.

Very good and stiff. They are 'Players' made by a 'Player'. Don't think Jack is cranking them out like some and those who have them hold them.

If you have the chance and cabbage snag:groucho:

Paul,

Here is the description along with some bad pictures not doing the color any justice of cue we discussed the last time you started a thread about Madden cues that I would be willing still be willing to sell at the same price we discussed (no trades).

Here is a beautiful, great hitting cue from Jack Madden. Pink Ivory with the points being BEM & Ebony recut into them. It has double grooves cut into a short SS flatfaced 3/8x10 joint. Silver ringwork at all points with a nice textured leather wrap. Solid Ebony butt sleeve with ringwork above & below. Weight is adjustable. 2 great shafts that Jack takes years to cut down.

Butt 14.94 oz
Shaft 1 3.73 oz 12.67 mm
Shaft 2 3.48 oz 12.70 mm

I can take much better pictures if interested.

Thanks,
Dave

There are not many for sale because people hold on to great cues! I've played with one for nearly a decade and will probably die still shooting with the same cue..

Maddens are the best

the number one reason people don't get rid of their madden cues is because they play amazing
reason being Jack is a damn good player and he knows what a cue should feel like, and he told me he uses good wood and that's really important
if you make two identical cues and one has excellent wood and the other mediocre wood, you'll feel the difference in the weight, balance, feel, hit, everything

other reasons are because Jack doesn't make a whole lot of cues and he recently told me he was cutting back on making them even more, wants to enjoy life more and work less i think

i was lucky enough to score the BEM in ebony six pointer from Tommie (RIP) and that cue is never gettin sold, bury me with it
i was also lucky to have had Jack build me the all ebony cue, that cue hits in such a way that it feels like the cue does all the work for you, don't have to force shots, just plays really great, you gotta shoot with it to know the feeling

oddly enough though i don't play as much with the ebony, bought it was a backup to have for when i send Jack the six pointer to replace the tips
so someone might be able to convince me to sell it lol
not the six pointer though, never, that's my lifer cue

nice, so you know what we're talkin about when we say it's a cue you don't want to get rid of
but yeah i think the big reason is he doesn't make many so if you have one you want to keep it because who knows if you'll ever get another

madden cue

Yes I do know what everyone is talking about and I'm keeping mine thanks for the responses .
