I've been using the Magic rack, and I like it. I've only been having issues taking it with me in my case. Anyone have ideas about how to store it in your case without bending it all out of shape? (I have both 8/9 ball racks).
Players that I have seen carry it with them just roll it up and put it in one of the case pouches. They tell me it comes back to shape when they want to use it.

I see some that have it around the cue. Or you can do like me - forget that you have it in one of the openings and put the cue down ………..:embarrassed2:. It´s a JB case and it´s what I understand to be a easy fix, just that small thing about time...:roll eyes:.
No, I did not remove the liner. Wont fit in with my cues for the cases with top access (so I have to put it with the accessory pockets), nor does it work well with my soft clam shell case. It seems to keep getting crumpled up, and is a pain to un-crumple. I haven't tried the toilet roll trick, and I'll give that a try. I was hoping for a more elegant solution.
It's really very simple. You will lose and destroy every Magic Rack you own all the time. The REAL solution is figuring out a way to make them $1. That way, you can buy a new one at the poolroom every time you play. If they can figure this part out, they will sell millions.
I've still got my magic rack in pristine condition after 18 months of use....probably seen 1000 racks of pool or better........looks great because I carry it in my Aramith case which hauls around one of my two sets of Centennials. I store it in the zipper side pouch. I simply took a manila folder and cut it down to the size dimensions to hold the magic rack.
Then scotch tape the two sides of the manila envelope to seal them and this leaves you with the side opening to slide the magic rack in and out of. The homemade manila envelope fits perfectly inside the Aramith zipper pouch and you don't even notice anything is inside until you open the zipper and remove the manila pouch/envelope because it lays so flat inside the pouch.
