Magoo's in Tulsa

I stop in a couple times a year when I'm in town on business, April and October. Great place.
 
I stopped there a few years ago when I was still driving. Nice tables but I kinda got hustled. I got a table and started shooting and a guy asks if I want to shoot some 2$ games. We shot pretty even and after 2 hrs. I'm up 10$. He quits and leaves and I go to pay the table. Time was 30$. Turns out after 7pm on weekends its 15$/hr. The other guy only lost 10$.:eek:
 
I play there about 3 times a week. Table rates are very reasonable, definitely not $15/hr. Tables are Diamond pro's and GCIV's.
There is a new room at Magoos that holds the Billiard Palace equipment which is Diamond barboxes and GCIV's.
The lights have LED's instead of bulbs, much easier to see the table and cheaper to operate.
Great rooms.

We usually visit the Q-Spot in Tulsa, when we go to T-town for a few games. More of a family atmosphere and real nice folks. They have bar boxes and 9 footers. They have 8 ball tournaments on Fridays and 9 ball on Saturdays. Good lighting and NO alcohol or smoking. Did I say real nice folks?

the new room next door called 'Magoos II'? Shane McMinn was working at the Palace, is he now at Magoos?

Yes. They have a monthly handicap 9ball on the barboxes that he sometimes plays in.
