So I was surfing the Tournament section and came across this thread:

If you look at the second posts, it states that Fox News will be there to cover the event for their sporting section. How cool is that?? All it took was the action on the tournament organizer's side (note: 5 min on phone) to set this up and BAM! There is the exposure that most of you are complaining about not getting....

Maybe if you took the initiative, good things will happen. Great job, Melinda! Please be sure to let us know how this turns out for you.
 
So we have 32 replies to "how to get rep points" and nothing about this?? I thought it was a pretty cool thing...

I think it's a pretty cool thing too. Nice work Melinda! ;) It's crossed my mind to call and/or write to the local media about events but there aren't any in my area. There's local league stuff but I would think that to generate any interest on the media's part, there would need to be at least one pro at the event.... There aren't any around here. :(
 
Kim White Confirmed on Fox in Houston on Sunday

We have confirmation FOX will be at our tournament this Sunday at Bogies Billiards in Houston to get some footage of the Hunter Classics Tour event. And! I just found out that Kim White (2000 Hunter Tour Champion and WPBA President) is confirmed to be on their Sunday night sports show. Normally at 10-1030pm, but with the World Series going on, it may be on later. Kim will talk about the WPBA and the Hunter Tour. We are all very excited!

This event is our last stop of the year - our Championship Stop. We wont know until Sunday who will have the most points and be crowned the Hunter Tour Champion - it's close between Lisa Brannen, Leslie Anne Rogers and Heather Lloyd.

I do know that a couple of years ago here in Albany NY at a local Joss Tour event stop, we had the local Fox station (Fox 23) come and do interviews with both Karen Corr & Julie Kelly plus a couple of other players for their sports segment. All somebody did was call them and let them know that the girls were there.....................mike
