i am not trying to discredit anyone on this forum. please go to easypooltutor.com and read the thread " what is your opinion of this cue with a wood pin ", in the all about cue mantenance, cue making, and building materials section on page 5. then you will see who, said what.

Looks like a bunch of the same stuff that everyone says when they first see the design. Once they have played with it or used it most people (myself included) changed our perception for the better when we got to play with it.

I am not sure whats going on.I can tell you I have played with one of Chucks cues and they play lights out.I was never scared that the pin would break.I would not even think there would be a problem.I have played pool for just about 25 years or so.I have broke my share of shafts but it was never at the joint.I don't think the wood pin is old technology and out dated.I would say just the opposite about the design.

I can say the way to promote a cue is not through DRAMA, let it go, Im sure the wood joint is fine, and it was also stated " break it if you can" obviously the joint is strong, and provides good feel. to what extent I have no idea, Ive havent had the oportunity to play with one, but if indeed the hit is close to a solid one peice cue Id surely own one. Performance to me is what I look for in a cue, it ethier has it or it dont. simple enough.

I rarely post here recently because of threads like these, Im always interested in cues and new technology concerning the game, but having to wade through topics like this make my time spent here hardpressed.
