Story goes "Hillbilly" Charlie Bryant lent his name to a jump break stick a
few years back of which there were one hundred made. Can anyone tell
us who made it and anything else a prospective buyer should know.

It was the Xbreaker-a great break cue no longer made.

cue

there was another one a friend has i will get info on it, it actually says hillbilly on it somewhere

It was a break cue made by Samsara and was called the 34.7 model or something like that. There weren't many made.

I think there many different combos of woods. They weren't all made the same.

Use the Search function and you'll probably find out more about them. They were made in 2006.

This is what they looked like (x-breaker 347), but they are more purpleheart looking than in the pictures. I think they were stained maple to keep the weight down:

When Charlie was being sponsored by Jerry Olivier, Jerry made some break jump cues for him to market. They were a dark grey stained jump break with no points with Hillbilly in block letters on a ring in above the buttcap. From what I understand, there were very few of these made. These had a 3/8"x10 joint in the butt-forearm joint and in the forearm-shaft joint along with a black with white spec Irish linen wrap. I have one in my cue collection.

Later on, Charlie had a deal with someone to produce some more Jump break cues. These were either black or a hardwood stained to look like Birdseye. These had a logo on the butt-cap that said Hillbilly Thunder with a lightning bolt coming out of a thunder cloud. These had a quick release joint in the butt joint and a 5/16 x 18 screw in the forearm to shaft joint. I have one of these and have used it as my main breaker for several years.
