Fred Mali?

i know other companies have made their cues for them.e.g. adams, palmer.

just wondering if this was the case for the time period given?

I've not heard of anyone else making Mali cues. Pete Balner (from Palmer) bought a stake of the company in 1998. The company that made Mali was called Cuesport, I think this closed in the late 90s. In 2000 or 2001 they started importing cues from overseas with the Mali name on them. I'm not sure if the actual manufactoing plant makes cues with other names on them.

Yes, that's correct.., Mali cues were manufactured by Cuesport, a small company located in Southfield, Massachusetts in the 1980's.

As far as I know, Mali always made their own during the 1980's. Palmer distributed them during the 1980's, but it was just a distribution and sales agreement. Interestingly enough, they were doing nylon inserts ala Huebler for a while.

This is correct, its not far from my hometown, we used to go down there in the 80's and they would sell us the blems at half off, although we could never see the blems in them. They are not there any longer.
