Man playing as woman at APA nationals

This is perfect illustration of what is wrong with the thinking in this country today. This says for one, if you are a legitimate woman ,meaning you were born a woman and accept that is your sex ,and actually live as a real woman, which the majority 99% of them in the tournament were....that if all of you (the 99%) feel wronged because you had to play a man in a women's tournament then it's YOU that should quit or deal with it !! WTF! And this also calls it DISCRIMINATION against a MAN in a WOMEN's tournament. WTF x2.

Makes me want to put my fist through this monitor right now. I was so ready to let this topic go until I read this load of crap.

So that phrase, " ...live as a woman..." I'm curious, just what does that mean?

I wonder if this works in court.

I got drawn for a doe license for hunting, can't shoot a buck.

I am going to shoot a buck and when I am arrested I will tell the judge that the buck was prancing around like a doe.

Sounds like a great defense.

So like I said, it's more about the state the tournament is in and their discrimination laws. So one way around it is instead of a tournament you hold an Invitational. That way you can select who plays.

Another is if another equal tournament is offered that fits their needs. So a woman sued the APA because she wanted to play in the men's singles. If the APA offers a woman's singles then she has to play in that. If they didn't offer a woman's singles then they would have to let her play in the men's.

I am in no way saying that I feel any of this is right, but it is indeed the law of the land we live in.

Co-authored by two of the nation’s leading scholars on mental health and sexuality, the 143-page report discusses over 200 peer-reviewed studies in the biological, psychological, and social sciences, painstakingly documenting what scientific research shows and does not show about sexuality and gender.

http://www.cnsnews.com/commentary/r...-tell-you-about-sexual-orientation-and-gender

Here are four of the report’s most important conclusions:
  1. 1.) “The belief that sexual orientation is an innate, biologically fixed human property—that people are ‘born that way’—is not supported by scientific evidence.

  2. 2.) “Likewise, the belief that gender identity is an innate, fixed human property independent of biological sex—so that a person might be a ‘man trapped in a woman’s body’ or ‘a woman trapped in a man’s body’—is not supported by scientific evidence.

  3. 3.) “Only a minority of children who express gender-atypical thoughts or behavior will continue to do so into adolescence or adulthood. There is no evidence that all such children should be encouraged to become transgender, much less subjected to hormone treatments or surgery.

  4. 4.) “Non-heterosexual and transgender people have higher rates of mental health problems (anxiety, depression, suicide), as well as behavioral and social problems (substance abuse, intimate partner violence), than the general population. Discrimination alone does not account for the entire disparity.”

Spin it how you will, but it was always considered a mental issue, most prevalent in abused children, until the agenda started trying to desensitize us to it so we accept it as normal.

CNS news is cherry-picking the conclusions to support their agenda.

Here are some notable statements in the conclusion of the paper that do not fit, and were conveniently excluded from CNS' "most important" conclusions because they didn't fit into the CNS narrative:

The strongest statement that science offers to explain sexual orientation is that some biological factors appear, to an unknown extent, to predispose some individuals to a non-heterosexual orientation.

...while biological sex is an innate feature of human beings, gender identity is a more elusive concept.

In reviewing the scientific literature, we find that almost nothing is well understood when we seek biological explanations for what causes some individuals to state that their gender does not match their biological sex. The findings that do exist often have sample-selection problems, and they lack longitudinal perspective and explanatory power. Better research is needed, both to identify ways by which we can help to lower the rates of poor mental health outcomes and to make possible more informed discussion about some of the nuances present in this field.

Our work suggests some avenues for future research in the biological, psychological, and social sciences. More research is needed to uncover the causes of the increased rates of mental health problems in the LGBT subpopulations.

There is still much work to be done and many unanswered questions. We have attempted to synthesize and describe a complex body of scientific research related to some of these themes. We hope that this report contributes to the ongoing public conversation regarding human sexuality and identity.

Here's a link to the conclusion of the paper as published in "The New Atlantis". Read it for yourself and make your own conclusions.

Moving to TAP

That Facebook post was from a lady on a team that was south of Pittsburgh. Last I heard they were coming to TAP. TAP does not have ladies only events (except to qualify for the WPBA US Open) We go by cap and not gender so TAP does not have this issue. I believe these teams were more upset the entire team was not disqualified.

It means that for five days a month, they get bloated and start yelling at men for no reason...

Jaden

So just about every boss that I've ever had is living as a woman?
Good gravey, what a horrible thought
