Manalo's Foul?

Several old threads about it. It seems to be a foul however I wouldn't bet the farm that he didn't brush the ball on the way to the rail.

I fouled a few days after the last discussion started, with my opponent watching closely. This time I touched his ball on the way to mine, rocking it very slightly and it never left the depression any ball at rest makes in the cloth. The other player called it good, I had to call it foul because I had the best view in the house.

In Manalo's case, he either didn't foul or had a brain cramp under pressure and forgot the rules he was playing under. I'm not sure which after watching the shot many times.

Seemed like a foul when it happened and still seems like one on video, to me at least.
 
Saw this clip sometime back. Looks like the white hit the rail first before pushing the 6 but there's just one little possibility that the white could've kissed the 6 first before hitting the rail, almost happened simultaneously. This is just one problem with human flaws, we can never be perfectly precise with our naked eyes unless we carry sophisticated equipments to measure every shot
 
:o Bustamante made a naughty curse at himself when he missed the 1-ball, wonder if it got bleeped out on the tapes :) It definately looks like a foul from the overhead cam and also Manalo's body language suggested he was unsure.

I think you mean the 9 ball. The referee's tummy shows that he was right in front of the shot. Most likely he saw it and shortly convinced Manalo of the foul.
