Maple leaf house cue

I have a customer that would like me to split this house cue. Doing the split is not a big deal but I would like to know what I'm getting into. Does anyone know how this joint is constructed? If no responses I might take it to work and put it in the X-ray.

No doubt it has a piece of threaded rod holding it together. I had a few if these with thick rod in there. Never measured, but it wasn't thin.

I made a 2 piece put of a cue like that and there was a brass threaded rod at the joint..... I cut it a drilled it out...............
