Ebony Bender w/Ivory

Gilbert Info

The Gilbert conversion has an ivory joint, ivory wedges and an ivory semi sorta hoppe ring w/what looks to be an elephant ear wrap. I was told that the wood is South American Rosewood.

Shafts are 13 mm/3.7 ozs & 12.8 mm & 3.8 ozs.

The wedges do look different on each side. There is a green veneer on one side and not on the other. I'll try and take some pics and post.

Bender Ebony Info

The wrap on the Bender is one of the smoothest leather wraps I've ever grasped. Both ferrules are ivory.

Shafts are 12.9 mm/3.7 oz's & 12.9 and 3.6 ozs.

FWIW - one of the smoothest (not harsh or hard at all) hitting cues I've ever played with.

Both of these were on Ebay but nixed as I listed them as having ivory instead of exotic african material.

I will put the weights, shafts sizes etc on the listing this evening. Should have done it yesterday but had to take off for the aeropuerto.

Nice Gilbert, how close do the new veneers match up to the old? Thanks

Yes, of course. I meant where is it For Sale? It's not on Ebay and there's no price listed here. :p

I believe the Bender is the ebony cue w/the silver rings pictures below the Gilbert.

Just a suggestion.

This is too confusing. I would start over and list each cue in a separate thread. It doesn't cost anything for a thread and makes it simpler for the looker.

Even I'm confused and I know what the heck I've got. Sorry about that. I was multi tasking and probably messed up the other things I was working on too.

VonRhett,

LOL! Sorry about that answer. I think Keith started another thread about eBay not letting him post the Bender because of the "ivory" in the description (joint & ferrules). I agree it's not clear. So I am assuming Keith is selling that cue and maybe the Gilbert through this thread. I would contact Keith on that one.

Again, sorry for the answer, I wasn't trying to be funny - I will now remove foot from mouth :o.
